The sight and smell test already shows something quite promising. The smell is distinctly that of a cannoli, which I think is accomplished from the powdered sugar combined with the light flaky chip scent. It's quite impressive, just smelling it makes me want a cannoli already! The seem to have went for a triangle shape that is pretty consistent among the chips, not sure how that's supposed to represent cannoli, but it should at least to a consistent taste with some added texture from the ridges.
Eating it produces a lot of the same flavors as the smell! It's like the light and flaky version of an Oreo cookie for a chip, but with powdered sugar and maybe a bit of the ricotta flavor. The flavor too is light: the chocolate flavor doesn't stick out a ton, but it's more reserved to meld with the powdered sugar topping. I do wish there was a little bit more strength of flavor. The chips do leave me wanting more which is probably the chip maker's goal, but it's in a way where I never truly feel satisfied, then again when does a wolf feel satisfied? If anything it really makes me want the real deal. Maybe with a cream dip it would be perfect. For now it's a really good flavor combination and scarily accurate to a cannoli's taste, but I can't help but feel it's missing something.
